Brewdog is a Brisbane local, and since 2022 Sydney has had its very own. South Eveleigh, a stones throw from Redfern Station, may be a far cry from banks of the Brisbane River, under the Storey Bridge, but this huge dog house is worth the visit.

Standing at the bar in front of an imposingly long line of taps with hand written signs and the very large illuminated sign with 33 different beers is a very exciting opportunity. The Brewdog beers are sectioned into Larger & Pilsner, Stouts & Darks, Alcohol Free, Pale and IPA and Guest Beers. This called for paddles.

ROUND 1: All Brewdog. Punk XPA 5.2%, IPA 5.6%, Eveleigh Pale 4.5%, Lost Lager 4.5%

Sensibly the first paddle comfortably stayed in the mid 4s to mid 5% in alcohol to ensure a second one could happily follow. The tasting paddles are four 5oz glasses (148ml) which combines to just over a standard pint (570mls), so this is a great way to get stuck into that list.

ROUND 2: All Brewdog. Wingman Pale 4%, South Pacific Pale 4.3%, 5am Saint Red Ale 5%, Jackhammer IPA 7.2%

Back at the bar and you realise that most of the beers here are in teh sensible ABV area, with very few getting up and over the 6% make so it makes it very easy to enjoy more, and remain relatively sensible.

All the beers that were sampled came from Brewdog, love that they have guest beers, none of the list grabbed me. Looking forward to heading back and cracking another 8 from the list.
