📚 BOOK LAUNCH "EPIC EXECUTION" BY DAVID KENNEY

Tuesday evening 13th May and I was driving into the heart of Sydney City, Autumn chill was in the air to visit The Pillars for the first time, and more importantly to see the unvieling of David Kenneys first book.

DK's book launch was held at The Pillars "A new private members club for Australia's industry leaders & innovators, a place to connect and belong".

Located at 11 Barrack Street, Sydney, this four-story visually imposing 1850's building was originally home to the first savings bank in New South Wales, more recently the long term home to The Athenian greek restaurant. Today after significant updating which stayed beautifully aligned to the heritage of the building, The Bentley’s Eleven Barrack restaurant and The Pillars have taken up residence.

After a short tour of the four very polished stories with Pillars member and owner of Saint Juniper Gin, Paul Walton, its was the building's internal wooden stairs care and the balconies 21 marble pillars that were the most unique and memorable architectural elements, but we were here for a book launch event.

David Kenney is a fansincating person. Professionally his resume’s numbers are impressive, over $1B raised for startups, guided over 300 companies through raises, exists and restructures, a podcaster, football coach, mentor, 14k followers on Linkedin and now a writer. But, that's not the David Kenney I've had the privilege knowing, the DK I know has deep, caring and intimate connections with everyone in his life, his clients become friends, and his council is given freely with an open heart and no ego.

So what book does DK write, one that takes all his expereince and creates a blueprint for founders and entrepreneurs to scale up their business, fast. The startup space can be tricky to navigate, especially if you’re growing, there is white noise and outside opinions everywhere, however this book, taking the DK's experiences with a mind-boggling 20,000 founders, is as close to fact as you'll ever get.

Success isn't just luck, it's making informed and disciplined decisions at the right time, Epic Execution is an amazing guide through business entrepreneurship and ensures business owners can do DKs motto "doing it right'.

A great night celebrating the book and DK’s accomplishment, great to see him on one of those rare occasions taking centre stage.

Also being the book launch meant the obligatory book signing and I couldn’t resist, but I didn’t expect this message left inside, very humbler Mr Kenny.
