Executive Decisions magazines was created exclusively for Executive Assistants and Personal Assistants, as a go-to resource tool for their corporate dining, events and team building needs. ed.magazines launched in 2012 with a series of annual titles in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.

EAs and PAs have many similarities to hotel concierge, strong networking, finger on the pulse, great communication and making all their offices bookings - dining, events, conferences, team building and more. After 8 years in concierge, followed by Where Magazines it was logical a magazine specifically for EAs and PAs be created.

Over a fortnight in 2012 the concept came together, and Executive Decisions went from idea to create including; name, magazine, website, social media, competitions and giveaways, events, everything down to the logo, type face, layouts and colours. In a little over 2 months from there, we'd assembled the team and were selling advertising space to Sydney suppliers that wanted to be in front of EAs and PAs, the gatekeepers to potential corporate clients.

The first year saw three separate magazine titles released in Sydney, each one a go to magazine directory giving EAs an PAs, office managers, event organizers, the information they needed at their fingers tips

  • ed.dining - restaurants and private dining rooms

  • ed. events - events spaces, private hire, conferences and parties

  • ed.teams - team building and out of the office activities

After successfully releasing in Sydney, our readerships in Brisbane and Melbourne were asking for titles to be released locally with local listings. So an amalgamated version was designed, bringing together dining, events and team building into one title per city

  • ed.brisbane - launched in 2015

  • ed.melbourne - launched 2015

In a year Executive Decisions had grown from an idea to a brand, a design to a printed magazines, from a concept to the largest databased EA PA magazine in Australia with subscribed readership across the country.

In 2015 I sold Executive Decisions magazines to the American company Morris Media LLC, and unfortunately it is no longer in print, a sign of the challenges even experienced publishers have creating print titles in the digital world.

To all those people supported the creation of the brand, read ed.magazines, advertised in its pages, I thank you. Above all thank yo to the EAs and PAs that allowed us to come into their world, if only briefly, and embraced vision and our Executive Decisions magazines.
